Really??? They met and an hour later they are having sex but this hour takes up 45% of the book mostly because it is all monologues. It is annoying and he compares the heroine to some other woman who had wronged him in EVERYTHING!!!!! I read that OW's name so many times I was aggravated. He compared her situation, her looks, and let's not forget the first time they were about to have sex, he compared their skin and hair. I would have thought he was in love with the OW based on what he kept thinking!! Oh yes, they also only knew one another for 2 days. The day they met and 5 months later when he came "to get her out of his system" but discovered her pregnant. They were saying "I love you" that very night! So, comparison to another woman, one day of sex after meeting an hour beforehand, 5 months later and having sex again, and finally "I love you". There I gave you the WHOLE story and you did not even have to buy it like I was stupid enough to do!
This is a Harlequin Presents novel so being under two hundred pages I was not expecting anything other than a short entertaining romance read. I could nit pick and shine a light on all the things that could've/should've been done better if longer but I will not. What I was is pleasantly surprised by what a good story this was and my hat goes out to the author for making characters that were surprisingly well developed for a short story.

The premise of this story is about Emily Lawton, who you first meet on a beach and you are captured, by her overwhelming desire to just once let loose and enjoy the beach, sand and water like when she was a child. Vito Corsentino, the Hero of our story, see's our heroine and is captured by her beauty and spirit and has an overwhelming desire to meet this woman. They meet and become instantly attracted to each other. Never expected to see him again, our Emily has a one night stand something in her strongly disciplined and well organized life has never done before. The passion was hot and sizzling as you would expect. But when Vito finds out about Emily the following morning he orders her to leave calling her a whore among other things. After several months Vito has tracked her down because he can not forget Emily. This time he'll take her, and he'll be the one to leave when it's over! But Emily has one last secret for Vito.... She's having his baby, and if he finds out he'll want more than revenge!

I liked this story very much, I found it entertaining, the passion and sizzle I wanted in a romance story was there without it being over the top as some short stories seem to be. All in all I would recommend this book to anyone who need a good short romance read.

I really don't understand these 5 star reviews. I got 98% through the book and then was just so irritated with it that I deleted it from my kindle. If you like stories where two people argue the entire time, jump to conclusion after conclusion about each other, never defend or explain themselves when being accused of horrible things but somehow manage to fall in "love" right at the end of the book then this one is definitely for you.

The heroine made me want to just smack her repeatedly and say, "Just spit it out already!" Five pages of "No, wait....", "Please....", "You don't understand...." was enough to drive me bonkers. On top of the heroine who never manages to complete a conversation to explain herself there is the guy who not only jumps to conclusions about her but completely over reacts and hurls pretty degrading insults.

I can't speak for other women but a conclusion jumping jerk with mammoth sized over reactions doesn't make me swoon and fall in love. But then again the heroine was so incompetent at articulating a single thought maybe this was the perfect guy for her. Either way, it's not my cup of tea....wish I had passed this one by. The one good point was that it was at least written well and easy to follow without the grammatical and spelling errors that make reading an arduous task.
i bought this book with very high expectations mainly due to the great reviews. i was very disappointed ! the book had no real flow to it, it was as if 5 months hadnt passed atal in the book because there was nothing to tell the reader about the transcience. it was only when emily said she was 5 months pregnant that it clicked.
the first half of the book was good because the chemistry was believeable but the second half was far too drawn out. the story was only fair . i would of loved an epiloge at the end to bring the story together.
scene 1 The sea.
scene 2 His house
scene 3 Her house

And that's pretty much it with lots of useless dialogue and head talk ranting from twittering heroine, who let's not forget is still married to her husband that she is caring for. It was impossible to connect to these cardboard characters. I couldn't read this again
