He is one of the first artists to deal with the world's ecological imbalance in his work and has therefore been called an "eco-art pioneer".
His best known works include the touring work "Trash People", "LoveLetters" in Berlin, "Flügelauto" (winged car) in Cologne and the "Corona Save The Beach Hotel" in Rome and Madrid. HA Schult creates his projects with Elke Koska, the muse and in the last years also with his wife Anna Zlotovskaya, the violinist. In the sixties he coins phrases such as Macher and Biokinetic.
HA Schult has gone to great lengths to demonstrate that an artist should be a -provocateur of artistic and public conscience. One of Germany's foremost practitioners of action art, Schult has most recently appeared on the Great Wall of China, at the arena of Xanten, under the Grande Arche in Paris, and in front of the Kremlin in Moscow, accompanied by his 100-strong army HA Schult has gone to great lengths to demonstrate that an artist should be a -provocateur of artistic.
