this book comes with "NO TAB" WTF for 42 dallors a rip off. and is sheeted for guitar cords not piano. way even make this book. petty would be pisst at the waste of paper it is.
- Great album
- Printed books are larger than digital download paper, so the detail can be larger and easier to see, depending on what you view digital sheet music on or if you just print it on standard 8.5x11 US paper.

- Out of print
- Prices have skyrocketed since Petty's death for hardcopies
- Not guitar tab
- No guitar parts, no solos, no tone information, etc.

- Printed copy of the guitar tab format book (also out of print but available used at about double the price of this P/V/G format book.)
- Legal Digital download of guitar tab for individual songs or the whole book - $22 for the full set of tabs at onlinesheetmusic.
- Other online "guitar tab" or "guitar chord" sites of questionable accuracy - free.

This is not guitar tab. It is piano/vocal/guitar format. That means it has only guitar chord symbols for the guitar players. Not guitar rhythm patterns, not guitar notes. It includes a treble staff for the melody intended to be sung by a vocalist, a treble staff for the right hand of a piano player, and a bass staff for the piano player's left hand. It includes lyrics. It does not include guitar solos, multiple guitar parts, information on guitar tones or effects, etc. that you typically find in guitar tab. This format may be useful if you are a bass guitar player or a keyboard player. And it may be useful if you like the brevity of p/v/g format and you play rhythm guitar, strictly chording, and can pick out the strumming patterns by ear.

It is quite expensive for what it is. If you are a collector, it may be worth it since it is out of print. But if you are a guitar player, there are better options. The guitar tab format book is also out of print, and about twice the pricet of the piano/vocal/guitar book. Again, that is ok if you are a collector, but unfortunate if you are a player.

If you want the guitar tab, you can purchase a legal/legit copy from the online publisher called onlinesheetmusic. If you make the most basic assumption about what goes before and after that word then you'll have a URL. but I can't post it here.

Amazon does not sell that digital download. There are 3rd parties selling the hard copy tab book , but it is quite expensive. The digital download is priced like any other sheet music (about $20 for the whole book). You can also buy individual songs if you prefer that, although that site charges $5 a song which is quite a bit.
