by Christopher Kendris

Approximately 300 most frequently used Spanish verbs are presented, one verb per page, arranged alphabetically, fully conjugated, and identified by the English infinitive form. Books in this series are smaller and shorter versions of Barron's 501 Verbs series. They make handy quick-reference sources for language students, teachers, and translators.

I've been studying Spanish for a number of years. There are other verb books out there (some contain more verbs), and I have most of them. This version is clearly organized and makes a point of delineating which ones are most important, including their idiomatic uses (more idioms than in most verb books). The page layout is easy, and verb tenses and their construction and rules of use are included, as are practice pages for each form of conjugation. At the back of the book there is a section for verb which deviate from the norm in their form and usage. Two CDs are included, but i have not tried them out.

Many would call this a defective product. If I purchased a book like this and brought it back to the cashier, I would probably get my money back.

The tables of Verbs are too small for Kindle. I have a Kindle 3G. If you imagine a small font at size 6 or 7 for any of the standard type fonts, the contents of the table would be size 2 or 3. This is after the zoom! Whoever sold this book to Kindle should have tried it out beforehand on a real Kindle. It is like they shrunk the page by 50% from the print version. It fills up maybe only a third of the Kindle screen. With the zoom, it fills up maybe 50% of the screen - still too small, especially in low light. Changing from portrait to landscape mode on the screen doesn't help improve the size.

Barron's should consider either fixing this situation or refunding the money for the Kindle version. I bought this based on the good reviews on Amazon but I found later that most of them pertain to the paper version of this book. I still would like to have this on my Kindle once the printing is fixed.
My pocket dictionary by Langenscheidts, which I give 5 stars to also, has some verbs in tables which is handy. But I wanted to have a small, but fairly comprehensive pocket verb book. It turns out this is better than I could have ever imagined. In the front it shows the tenses and how, when, and why to use them. (It's the same as 501 Spanish Verbs.) What's even better is in the back it has an alphabetical listing in English of all the verbs in the book. If you need to know a verb, you can certainly find it in your pocket dictionary, but seeing it conjugated is extremely helpful whether you're a beginner or someone in an intermediate or advanced level. Most verb conjugations are easy to remember, but if you forget, you can look in this book which is so light and compact, it's incredibly easy to carry. You can't go wrong with this book even if it's the book you'd rather have than 501 Spanish Verbs.
This is an essential book for students of Spanish language. I used this book constantly as a student (over ten years ago ;), and now, as a tutor of high school Spanish language students, I urge all my students to make the small investment for this indispensable book. It has all the same information as "501 Spanish Verbs," but in a much more convenient "travel size." HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
This was the most helpful, as learning verb conjugation in Spanish language is not easy at first. With this at your side while writing is helpful.
Bought the entire series in Spanish by BarCharts to go along with the fun Fluenz Latin American Spanish Learning program (also recommend it).
There are a number of them and all are great.
They are all very good tools to use while learning or for quick 5 minute review sessions whilst anywhere.
Rote learning along with conversational Spanish with native speakers is best.
Plastic bonded is easy to keep clean.
Durable for on the go travel.
Love them for quick referencing when needed, especially while writing in Spanish language for guest blog posts not written in your native tongue.
Highly recommend these learning tools.
Like any tools, unused they become useless.
Use them, you can become proficient in the language you wish to learn.
Use it or lose it and the same is held true for languages.

Please pardon the same review for all the BarCharts. They are all great.
Great short cut to checking Spanish as backup to my classes.
Great but print is too small?
useful information of the high points in a concise form.
