This book is being advertised as the first edition but is not. The first edition is much bigger and has about 1200 pages. The one being sold is the "second printing" and leaves out the contrary and extreme records included by Ivan J. Barrett in the first edition. This edition also clearly states it is printed in 1968. The copyright is 1967 but the printing is in 1968. This is accidentally or intentionally misrepresented as a real treasure when it is not. It is virtually the same as editions printed through the 1980's.

This is a wonderful book and I love it. It is told in easy to understand language. The people who sold it to me were prompt with the delivery arriving when promise. Good Job.

I have taught seminary for 4 years and this was one of my favorite books as a resource. Very factual and yet very interesting and kept my interest from beginning to end. Have read it several times and it's a book that I intend to keep on my bookshelf.
Wonderful complete edition of an excellent classic on Joseph Smith. Wish this early edition had been reprinted so more people could access it (instead of the edited versions)
