This book has patterns for the castle, and the furniture, all are pretty, and I think can be adapted to most of the current dolls. Darker colors for Monster High for instance. I'm working through the pattern right now, and realizing exactly how much this project is going to add up. It's going to be expensive, but it will look great when it's done, and be really unique!

As for the instructions.... They're mostly pretty clear, all separated by the rooms you're making. I'm trying to go through and cut out all the big pieces first, so I'm flipping back and forth through the whole book, trying to double check which rooms need which pattern pieces. The study, living room, bedroom and dining room all need the big floor pieces, but it's just a quick blurb to "Follow instructions for dining room base' in all the instructions for the other rooms.

Take your time with this project, hit the sales as much as you can, and you'll wind up with a treasure. Just don't expect it to be much cheaper than a wooden doll house.

Beautifully done, very detailed, clear instructions - just be aware that the cost of materials will be close to, if not over, $400.00. It requires 110 sheets of the ultra stiff 7-mesh plastic canvas for the structure alone, which will run you at least $150.00 unless you catch a great sale, plus all of the yarn, cord, beads, felt, fabric, regular plastic canvas sheets...it's quite a list, and I wish I would have known that before spending $20+ on the book. If you have money to burn and a lot of time on your hands, this would be a wonderful project for you.

Making this for the monster high doll series instead of the barbie doll series and it seems to be working just fine for the doll dimensions so far. With all the new yarn out there it is easy to deviate from the material list. Doing it in batches instead of buying everything at one time and that seems to be working ok to. I just wish that someone would reintroduce the series again.

I got this book for a dear friend that is handicapped and enjoys cross-stitch. She makes a point of telling me every step she finishes. Thank you very much.
The book was in perfect condition.
