I am a Monterey Peninsula native and wanted this book to be more than what it was. It is more a booklet than a book. It basically covered more general areas which was fine but I wish it was more in depth. I ordered the Steve Crouch book that seems to be more of what I was looking for.

The photos are great. They do talk about the houses Steinbeck lived in. They showed areas around the Monterey Peninsula that he wrote about or included in his novels but do take note this is only 32 pages.
