This story starts out with a dingy reporter who over indulges her active imagination. Initially it seemed that it was going to be a fluffy read, but along the way she begins to believe it isn't just her imagination.
Hopping from place to place covering stories as a freelancer, she becomes involved with someone who seems to be an imposter.
I loved this book which is full of unexpected situations, shady character, life threatening circumstances and subtle humor.
Not anything like Bridget Jones but a great read and character. It's a little dated, which is why I took one star off. Fielding should update this character and continue with her adventures.
Loved the characters, the plot and the twists and turns in story development. An enjoyable suspenseful read. Go for it!
An excellent alternative to the Bridget Jones series, with some of the same wit shown in "Cause Celeb." Here is an author for all seasons! Even the most Jaded and cynical reader will enjoy this tome.
When I started this book, I thought it would just be about a silly girl and her romances. Then as I read along I began to enjoy myself, engrossed in the humorous misadventures in exotic locales. I realized this was not another single gal in London/New York looking for a man book, but an action packed adventure written in smart prose. I am giving these as Christmas presents to my girlfriends and family.
Excellent book ...loved it
Much more sophisticated than the Bridget Jones series
Easy reading with a sophisticated edge
This is a chick romcom type of book which is usually not my style, but it was funny and kept me reading. I've ever reread it over the years!
Already had read this in paperback, but ordered on kindle because it is light, escapist reading. At times I need just to get away.
