I almost did not buy this book as there were a couple of reviews that were not very good. However, I am glad I went with my past experience of enjoying this author's books. This was an extremely well-written, hard to put down book. I could not figure out the plot until she started showing who the real antagonists were one by one. The style of the storytelling was very different from the previous book that this was the sequel to.

I am very glad I purchased and read this book.

I usually do not give book reviews, but since this book was not understood or appreciated, I thought I would post my opinion of this book. It was very, very well done.
This tale of love and revenge swept me along in its constant action. Up seemed down and vise versa as the plot twists and turns. I'm left breathlessly spinning.
Good reading - with a lot of surprises! I like her writing sometimes - and then again, I feel she goes over the same thing too many times. Like we might not be smart enough to remember what she had written. So, it just makes the book longer - and irritates me. Anything over 350 pages and I start getting bored! It's worth reading.
This was different from the usual books, it was better than OK, but not as intriguing as her stories usually are.

My grandson was playing with my phone and down loaded this book to my phone. So I thought I'd read it. It was definitely a slow read. But it was good. And I thought it had a good plot and ending.
Love Lisa Jackson's books, she is a consistent writer that keeps you guessing until the end.
This novel was very difficult to put down once I began reading it. Anyone who is a parent will be able to relate to the terror that Cissy and Jack felt when their son B.J. was abducted by Cissy's insane biological sister.
Jackson's books are always entertaining. Quite a few characters but the more important ones are well developed. Jackson does a great job making sure the reader is reminded how the characters are interrelated.
