I've always enjoyed your books. I started really getting into reading after I read The Sweet Valley High books as an elementary child. I was raised with 5 brothers, and 2 sisters yet I was the only one who reactor pleasure. It was my haven from all the chaos. I will forever be grateful for Authors such a yourself. We weren't a rich family but being able to read stories written by amazing people like yourself, well it made my entire childhood an amazing time. I was able to go to far away lands and feel as though I was on an adventure everyday to new and wonder place, with people whom made my life better. I've been on disability for the last 9 years due to a heart condition, but I've never felt alone. I've had the most amazing adventures because of amazing story tellers such as yourself. Thank you for being my way of continuing my adventures. I look forward to reading all the adventures you create.
Thank you again for sharing hour amazing talent. I'm beyond grateful! A truly life long fan! I pray you and yours have a truly wonderful holiday season. I will continue to feel blessed to read all the adventures you can possibly write!

Great book, but it's fortunate that a friend of mine has a hardcover copy of this book, and as I start to thumb through it, I find out that the Prologue is not in the my Kindle edition. Why was this edited out. The story makes more sense after I read the first 3 pages. That's why I give it the rating. The story is well written (as usual); keeps you interested until the end.
Another page turner but I'm going to brag, I picked two suspects & I was right, for the first time in one of Mary Higgins Clark. I just love her books, she has just enough characters so that you don't get confused, which is very easy for me. Was it Ted? Was it the Baron? Baron's wife? I can't tell you so you'll just have to get this book & sit back for an enjoyable reading experience. Now it's time to pick another book, I hate when I finish a great book but it gives me an opportunity for another good read. Enjoy.
I was amazed and aggravated to discover that the Kindle version of this book leaves the first part out. In the printed version, there is a prologue that takes place in 1969, when Elizabeth is eight years old. That prologue is not on my Kindle version. Without it, the story is understandable, but you don't fully understand the characters of the two sisters and you don't get a full understanding of why Leila didn't trust men. Surely it wasn't left out by accident, but I can't imagine why they'd leave it out on purpose. It seems very odd to me.

Other than that, the story appears to be the same: two sisters come to California; the oldest becomes a famous actress who dies when she falls or is pushed from her balcony. Family, friends and suspects gather at a world-class spa, owned by the woman who gave the actress her start, and new developments bring everyone to a surprising conclusion.
As always - Mary Higgins Clark never lets me down. Love each and every one of her books when she writes WITHOUT her daughter.
I loved this book could not put it down. Her books are the greatest it draws you in and you literally have to force yourself to put it down
Guess I'm just not into the drama connected with a mystery even if it is an excellent mystery. Characters well developed and lots of twists and turns before the ending finally revealed which should surprise most. Think I'll read it again now that I know the answer and see if it's more enjoyable.
Absolutely Suspense filled from beginning to the end. Love this read. I highly recommend it.
