St. Vitas is a disease that as far as everyone is concerned, there is no cure once in the system. This Virus is deadly within seconds. Someone from the Middle East steals the Virus and intends to use it on Americans in America.
Code alpha is called into action to retrieve the virus, however, there are ,many people who will die first. The Student who created it runs through her guilt and shame for creating a monstor that someone could get hold of and dispences with ease.
This story, although fiction, could become reality in our day. Do we have a defense system to protect us? No we don't. This book is very appropriate for our times. Only God can prevent us from self destruction.
The book is all action non-stop from beginning to end, a thriller at it's best. I want to thank Joseph Massucci for delivering a really true thriller to us to make us think about what we are doing to ourselves.
A must read book.
I picked up CODE: ALPHA right after finishing Massucci's sequel THE MILLENNIUM PROJECT, and I found that, like the other, I could not put this book down. Although they include the same characters, you don't need to read the books in order. I really enjoyed his central character Julie Martinelli, and relished in just enough techno-talk to keep me thinking, "Wow this stuff is truly amazing -- and frightening!" CODE: ALPHA is a remarkable piece of fiction, and I can't wait to see Julie and Marshall save the world again soon!!!
What a great book!!! All fun, and I really loved the ultra-resourceful female biochemist, Julie Martinelli. I imagined her looking like the female Marine Corps Jag Officer on the TV show "JAG". CODE:ALPHA reads much better than Clancy's novels without all the convoluted political machinations. It's very believable that the world one day may face a terrible biological weapon like the St. Vitus. Most of all, the novel is such well written, exciting reading that I could not put it down!! That's how a good novel should be!

"CODE: ALPHA" is one of the best books I have ever read, and I have read a lot of books. The reason why I enjoyed your book so much is because it involved people and events from real life, like Saddam Hussein and the different deadly diseases. I couldn't wait to get to the next page. Do you have plans for making this into a movie? "Outbreak" would have nothing on you. I would be one of the first in line to see it.
I stayed up all night reading this book -- I simply couldn't put it down. This was a fast paced, intelligent book. It's rare to find a book that's so much fun to read and so informative all at once. At the same time you are enjoying the thrill of the story and the author's wild imagination, you are also learning so much about genetic engineering and biological terrorism. I highly recommend it!
This book was excellent. Fast-paced, exciting, what a thriller should be. I also read THE OMEGA MISSILE by Joe Dalton which was as good. Also AREA 51 as recommended above! Some really good stuff coming out in paperback-- saves money.
My husband is ready to kill me as last night I had the covers over my head reading with a flashlight! I'm really impressed. I thought I had a vivid imagination ....
The book combines the best elements of both techno-thrillers and biological thrillers. Julie Martinelli is smart and resourceful -- she's the perfect heroine
