Hard to imagine a better character than Spencer, each read brings the actor Robert Urich to your face, his home in the firehouse and friendship with the street hard Hawk. So glad family has allowed Mr Parker's unfinished works to be given their just dues and completed by his friendds.
Tall
Love anything by Robert B. Parker, especially the Spenser series. Subject line may be serious but Spenser is always full of laughs for the reader.
Nagis
Robert B. Parker is a guilty pleasure to read, especially with Spenser or Jesse Stone. He never fails to deliver a great story, colorful, interesting characters and something you want to go back and read again and again.
Zyniam
Just glad to get Parker's openers in one volume for a low price !!

I have read many Spenser stories and this one fills in a lot of questions I've had about Susan and Hawk. As always Parker's books are a good read.
Modar
Love Spenser!

This was bought as a present for my mom who is a huge spenser for hire fan and was missing these three books from her collection. The smile I got and the happiness the book brought her made it a must have for any spenser fan. The book is in excellent condition and would recommend seller.
Spenser's caustic sense of humor made this book an easy read with many twists. Parker keeps you guessing as to the outcome every time. As for someone who grew up watching the "Spenser For Hire" Television show, this was a fun read for me. I am looking forward to reading the rest of Parker's books.
