This is the second in the Lucy Guardino FBI series but the books can stand alone so don't necessarily need to be read in order. I have enjoyed the first 2 books in the series and intend to read the rest of the series. Lucy is a supervisory special agent for the FBI, which is supposed to be a desk job. Lucy prefers to work in the field and is very good at it. The characters in the book are well developed, with a couple of true psychopaths, and the plot keeps you reading to the end. I recommend both books in the series.

I just read Blood Stained, my second C.J. Lyons book. I just can't get enough of her work! Please bring Lucy back in another adventure. She's a great character. The plot is paced well, there are a few surprises and I couldn't put it down. After reading Snake Skin and Blood Stained I immediately bought some of the Hart and Drake series and have already completed the first book of that series. I am so glad I found C.J. Lyons!

Dangerous

If you like mysteries, get this book. It's thrilling and you can't stop reading it! I bought Snakeskin (also about Guardino) because it was a 99 cent Kindle Daily Deal and loved it. After I finished it, I knew that I wanted to read more from this awesome author and with this well-crafted character. Enter Blood Stained - a great mystery set in a small town with vivid imagery. I just hope that CJ Lyons does some more Guardino books - I would read every single one of them!

I loved the first CJ Lyons book I read and I looked forward to reading her next Lucy Guardino book. Blood Stained did not disappointment. I love her character Lucy Guardino. The book grabs your attention and keeps you interested throughout the book. I had a hard time putting it down and looked forward to picking it up again.

This is the second book in the FBI series featuring Lucy Guardino, one I was compelled to buy after reading her first book. It deals with unspeakable crimes, but at the same time lets you see the real Lucy, the soccer mom and wife to Nick, the compassionate FBI agent dealing with the victims. I'm looking forward to the possibility of a third book in this series.
