I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of the books in this series. I've raced through them reading we'll into the night. I was so excited to get to this one and read all about the new resident of Sugar Maple. A magical baby girl born to Chloe. I couldn't wait to see what the author would do with this story line. Disappointment doesn't even come close to what I'm feeling after reading this book. Instead of finding out about how the baby and Chloe bond and Chloe handles having a magical baby, we read several chapters about Luke's tramp of a sister Meghan having sex for 2 weeks with a guy she just met. REALLY? The whole book was a big disappointment. And by the time the author actually gets back on track and starts talking about the baby- the book is pretty much over. And as far as I can tell, there aren't any other books in this series. I wish that the author would have just let Chloe have the baby at the end of book 3 or even at the end of the short story and skipped this disaster all together.

I liked this book. It had a little less suspense and energy as some of the last few books I have read. However, it had a strong pull which kept me guessing what would happen next. That is what it takes to keep me reading, and I definitely kept reading it. It didn't have quite as much action or strife as the last few books in this series, but that is OK. I think that Chloe and Luke deserved it with the baby on the way and all. It had enough to keep it interesting. I like how the use of adding in Luke's family helped build the story as well. I am glad that Luke's family like Chloe because she deserves to have a family - even if it is extended. She is a great perky character even though she worries. The baby definitely did not waste time getting her powers though, and this is a good thing! I enjoy visiting Sugar Maple, and can't wait to go back again and see what is in store in the future. I have never knitted a day in my life, but if Chloe was real and her shop were real - I would travel to Vermont to learn from her!

I admit that I didn't read earlier books in the series so tbat may have had an impact on my disappointment. I found the plot quite obscure if present at all. There were a few laugh out loud moments but overall, a bit disappointing for this knitter.

...in fact, I felt there was too much going on plot-wise for it to be a comfortable read, like she was wrapping up loose ends to end the series (which she probably was). The virtual in-laws drove me crazy (boundaries, people?), as did the nanny Elspeth until the end. Enjoyed the other Sugar Maple books, but this one? Not so much.

Love Sugar Maple, but this story was disappointing. Left me wanting more.

Being a knitter and Into weird things, I thought this was a fun read. don't know that everyone will like, but knitters and occult followers will enjoy. I will diff. Read more of her books.

I had read the rest of the books in this series. I had heard there was to be another but have not seen it till now. since the beginning of this series it is hard to but book down till finished . Then you want the next right away even though its not available . The author keeps your interest.
Once I statrted this series I could not put it down. Excellent story line and loved the characters! I highly recommend this series!
