by Leslie Meier

Once again, Leslie Meier gives mystery fans a reason to give thanks for the eccentric charms of Tinker's Cove and the intriguing exploits of its resident amateur sleuth, Lucy Stone.Turkey Day MurderTinker's Cove has a long history of Thanksgiving festivities, from visits with TomTom Turkey to the annual Warriors high school football game and Lucy Stone's impressive pumpkin pie. But this year, someone has added murder to the menu, and Lucy intends to discover who left Metinnicut Indian activist Curt Nolan deader than the proverbial Thanksgiving turkey--with an ancient war club next to his head. The list of suspects isn't exactly a brief one. Nolan had a habit of disagreeing with just about everybody he met. Between fixing dinner for twelve and keeping her four kids from tearing each other limb from limb, Lucy has a pretty full plate already. So what's a little investigation? But if she's not careful, she just may find herself served up as a last-minute course, stone-cold dead with all the trimmings. . .<BLOCKQUOTE>"I like Lucy Stone a lot, and so will readers." --Carolyn Hart "Meier writes with sparkle and warmth." --Chicago Sun Times</BLOCKQUOTE>

This Thanksgiving the Stone Family of Tinker's Cove,
Maine is expecting 12 for dinner. Two of these are
vegan college students.
Lucy is transferring the turkey from the pan to the lands on the floor. Find out what
Lucy does to make the Thanksgiving meal gravy!!!
During the town's Thanksgiving festivities, the body
of a Metinnicut Indian activist who was against the
building of a casino is found dead.
The story is full of many twists and turns. There are
plenty of interesting, colorful characters for the
suspect list. A chicken killing dog and TomTom the
turkey add to the mix.
A humorous holiday cozy mystery.
This is book # 7 in the Lucy Stone cozy mystery series.
It can be read as a stand alone.
These are great easy to read stories. I love them. The only thing that could be better is the proofing. Misspellings and wrong character names are a common problem with this series. I am not sure if it is just the kindle versions, they are the only ones that I have been exposed to. Fab way to unwind and distress.
As always I love the messes Lucy finds herself tangled in! She can surely make Thanksgiving interesting! As always I really enjoyed the story
I enjoyed reading this book very much. It has a great plot and great characters. I will continue reading this series.
I really like the characters in these books and how fun these books are to read. I would love to spend a summer in this cute small town, The characters are interesting and unlike some other reviews I have read I like that the characters have flaws because it makes it more real.
This mystery series shows how Lucy works hard to balance family and career and still finds time to solve mysteries..
the family issues...homework, money, etc. ring true to life. The stories are always good and you don't have to read the whole series...each book stands on it's own.
I have read her series before and with the holidays coming glad to reread this and her other books. Anxious to get into it. Love her style of writing.
This is great series
