by Angela Dawe,Heather Graham

A slasher movie turns real when two young actors are brutally murdered on a remote island film set. Their severed heads and arms are posed in macabre homage to a nineteenth-century pirate massacre.

Two years later, Vanessa Loren is drawn back to South Bimini by a documentary being made about the storied region. Filmmaker Sean O’Hara aches to see how the unsolved crime haunts her…and Sean knows more than a little about ghosts.

Lured by visions of a spectral figurehead, Vanessa discovers authentic pirate treasures that only deepen the mystery. Are the murders the work of modern-day marauders, the Bermuda Triangle or a deadly paranormal echo of the island’s violent history? As Vanessa and Sean grow closer, the killer prepares to resume the slaughter…unless the dead can intervene.

I really enjoy Heather Graham books and these were good the first time around. However I never read a book twice. After purchasing this trilogy and finding out it is NOT new but originally published in 2010. It is posted as new. I am very frustrated that I spent more money on books that are old and only republished. I try to be diligent and watch the publish dates just for this reason. Very disappointed, waste of time and money.

This scary tale of ghosts and pirates was intense enough that I refused to read the first few chapters at bedtime. But then I steeled myself against the possible nightmares to come and plunged onward trying to solve the mystery but never figuring it out. Unusual for me because I usually know “who dun it” way before the end. I only wish I had read it closer in time to the first book in the series because I had to keep refreshing my memory as to who was whom!

I bought the book on CD- abridged edition-The story was ok- really bad dialog- "he said, she said, he said, she said" 50 or more times. There were three of these in the series, all written in the same year- and it shows. I don't understand how this author got on the NY Best Sellers List????? Maybe the unabridged book was better- and I won't be getting any more books on CD with this particular narrator.

I really got caught up in this one. It's an awesome and amazing combination of stories from Key West and the Bermuda Triangle.

Good quality for used book

A good read as usual. Graham takes mysteries to the next level. They are never easy to figure out and the endings always are happily ever after. Love her series

Plots are so predictable, takes all the fun out of reading her books
The bone island trilogy, book 2, familiar characters and the pace is excellent. On to the final book, for me!
