A rip snortin, hell bent for !eather bang up story certain to quench the thirst of you cowboy fans. All the action you need to get your imagination and adrenalin flowing. You will certainly enjoy this bang 'em up. So, "Giddy Up."
I really found this tale exciting and interesting. It held me spellbound all the way through. It was well written and edited for the most part.
This book was just ok. It didn't seem like Johnstones other books. This one seemed to have too many overly descriptive areas pertaining to a scenic view. I felt it was overly done. Which made it seem like the story was too short. I hope the next book in the series isn't like that.
I really like this book. Lots of action. I feel that all the readers who enjoy a good western should read this book
This was a very good book, I had read it on 5-12-12, I very much enjoyed reading this book, if you like reading Westerns, then I know you will like reading this book, after your done, this Author has many more Mountain man books, their all very good.
Excellent story
Gave it a one star rating because zero stars are not available. I am an avid Johnstone reader, Smoke, Preacher, a few other of his western genre. However, since Mr. William Johnstone passed away some of "his" suedo writer books still maintain his style and quality. This book could not hold a candle to the worst of his works. I only wish I knew who wrote this book so I could avoid his future publications. BUT, take heart, most of the works under the Johnstone name are still very good. Louis L'Amour is my other favorite author. When you read his work, they are so real, you can smell the saddle leather. So let's keep cowboys as cowboys, pardner ! AL T, Tech Ed Teacher 37 years, USAF 4 years, Nam. Yes, I have ridden several horses !
This book was not the best effort, However the follow on books seem to get better and better.
