I get by with a little help from my friends…

A heart-warming tale of family and friendship for fans of Cathy Kelly and Maeve Binchy.

Chance brought Kirsty, Clare, Janice and Patsy together fifteen years ago. But friendship has bound them through time. Until now.

Over the years, In the small town of Ballyfergus, these four women have shared tears of joy and sorrow, countless glasses of wine and cups of tea. Men have come and gone, children been born and left home. Life has taken them down paths they never expected, but through it all their relationship has endured.

But all that's about to change – this year their friendship will be tested as never before as:

• Widowed Kirsty falls in love with someone she shouldn't.• Patsy struggles to cope with her beloved husband's redundancy and a shocking revelation from her daughter.• Janice is forced to address ghosts from her past.• Clare takes control of her life, only to discover that her new-found independence comes at a high price.

Can the sisterhood survive the strains placed upon it and come through it unscathed?

This hits all the right notes in how life can throw such curveball in a shirt space of time but true friendship can see you through it
This is another very good and easy to read story . If. you have enjoyed Maeve and Cathy Kelly, you will like this book. It is the first one by Erin Kaye that I have read, but it will Not be the last. It is a well written tale of friendship among four women and the true to life experiences so many of us face. Besides being entertaining, it is believable.
A nice story about friendship and how it gets you through the ups and downs in life. I could sympathize with most of the women. I liked widow Kirsty's story the best, and probably Clare's the least, as there were points I kind of wanted to smack Clare. Lol. But overall, a good story.
Loved it .. am now reading Erin Kaye's Second Time Around and thoroughly enjoying this too. Extremely true to real life ... Keep them coming EK
This book has wide appeal to all women who are mothers especially those who are in their mid 30s and above. It shows how important friendships are to women for the support that they give each other and how a problem shared is a problem halved. As women we have had to make choices and we often find ourselves in circumstances that can't be handled on our own. All women will be able to identify with some of the feelings that characters in this book portray. Friendships are important in good times and bad. Whe you read this book you realise we can all be thrown a curve ball and we all want good outcomes.
Enjoyed reading this, Just started reading this author's books. Impressed. Well written.

Another great holiday read, I'm always sure I'll enjoy her books, they're always just chatty, gossippy story's about life and real people, we all have met people like her characters sometime in our lives.
Nice story of 4 friends. Very easy read, nothing heavy or upsetting. Perfect for a holiday read or if looking for something light
