I was wanting a book for ideas on piecing clothing, or quilting. This book gives several ideas for how to make unusual garments that will be both beautiful and comfortable. Although it is thin, it has beautiful colored photos of the finished garments. Unfortunately, to feel comfortable in these clothes, since I am full figured, I will have to redo most of the patterns. Also I found most of the patterns difficult for me to understand well. But all in all, I am glad to add this book to my library and am glad that I also purchased another book by this author.

Great photos = inspiration. Easy patterns and directions = new beautiful garments! Plus, a good way to use stuff from your fabric stash. The 'nomad dress' is especially gorgeous and incredibly easy to make in non-quilted fabric!
I just love the ideas in "Pieced Clothing" and I've made several pieces from it for myself, as well as for gifts, which were much-appreciated by the receivers. You can make any garment interesting using these techniques, and come out with something unique. An especially great way to use small pieces of fabric.
