This Book is a Osprey Book printed several years ago. Five Men At Arms books make this up with all the prints in them. It is a nice book, because I can put it my book stand and paint my mode soldiers and look at the prints. Military Modelers who paint can use this book. I have delighted with this book

This book is simply superb. Compining all the latest Men at arms books on the German Army in WWII it give an essential overview on uniforms and equipment used on all fronts by the german Heer. Of course the text is dry, but this isn't the aim of this book. The heart of this book are the plates, which are good and informative, the selection of different soldiers and uniforms is good and cover all, both mainstram uniforms and particular equipment with all theaters of WWII (even the often forgotten balkans). The text is full of useful data about uniform's introduction dates, rank insignias and similar stuff. There were also useful notes about organization.

This book will give you all the inspiration and reference needed to paint your miniatures if you are a wargamer like me; if you are a collector or an historian it will give you an overview about the evolution of the german army uniform during WWII.

Heartly recommended.
