excellent read...once I get to a few of the spots to verify I will be probably upgrading this review
This book arrived on the day before predicted. I am researching an ancestor who is said to have served in the War of 1812. This book is great for the large picture and describes what the battle sites look like if visited today. This helps me in my search.
Beautiful research work!
This is an outstanding book of facts. We went on a summer trip and followed the war of 1812, during the bicentenial. this book led me to places to visit. It is perfect for someone that wants to visit these sites, with a good understanding what happeden in history.
This is a colorful informative guide to a war often overlooked by some students of history. Get it and then go on a tour.
Only thing I was dissapointed in was that for the Battle of New Orleans, it showed a picture of the Civil War Battle of New Orleans! Otherwise it was very good. I did like the information about the present day sites.
pretty good book for general info and for travel. esp. good for michigan area travel around det. and monroe. would buy again
