The book is ok considering we need as much as we can about Iberia(Spain and Portugal)as there seems to be an old cover-up--the records of the ancient Greeks clearly tell of them, they travelled all the way to Iberia to interact with these amazing people, the "Tartessians"of ancient Spain(Iberia)...they actually had there own alphabet, poetry, laws,an extensive mining industry, they produced the most exquisite works of metal, jewelry, nothing remotely comparative in any other Western European country...great sea-faring ships, peace loving, fabulously wealthy and generous to the appreciative Greeks...there are much better books that do not attribute all this greatness to the Phonecians-the Greeks who had un-going contact with them, contradict that lie...yes,the Tartessians did incorporate many things that they liked into their art forms, but the records are clear about what is their very own.One must read a few books!-The author Shultz, spent a lifetime studying these people, and there is a book with a LOT of good informatiopn(not all good, but MUCH),it has a rather outlandish title,"Atlantis in Spain",BUT,the Greeks themselves said Iberia was at the "end of the world",just past the Pillars of Hercules!-The ATLANTIC---not so much a"magical"culture, but one in which there is no comparison living at the AAtlantic, very simply put.

Good book. A bit dated but with important information on a region about which we know very little.
