Over the years I have read and wrote reviews for several of the Crunch Fitness guides. I recently purchased this 102 page softcover (Perfect Posture by Dr. Scott G. Duke) book for a bargain price on Amazon. One of the many things I like about the Crunch Fitness guides is that they do not waste a lot of time on excessive verbiage but get right down to the specifics in their books. The second thing I like about this book and other Crunch guides is that they have numerous clear photographs showing all the techniques and exercises.

This text is organized into six parts. After a brief introduction about the Crunch Fitness guides, part one covers the importance of good posture. Part two is about “assessing your posture” and shows various examples of bad and proper posture positions. The third part explains “how exercise can improve your posture.” Part four focuses on the importance of having a “stable spine.” Part five shows exercises “the upper body workout” and part six covers “the lower body workout exercises.

I was familiar with many of the exercises which come from various sources like yoga and stretching type programs. If you desire to improve your posture you should check out this book. It is a good read.

i just got the book and read through it and would have to say that this seems to be a great book on getting better posture. i have really bad posture and need to strengthen up my muscles to get good posture and this book looks like it will help me out.
