101 Best Aviation Attractions is a great book for aviation enthusiasts.
The book lists different aviations attractions and museums throughout the world. It has information about the event itself, in addition to hotel and other important information.
The only downside to the book is that it lacks an index of the location of ach item. An index of all attractions on a state-by-state basis would add a lot of value.
Other than that, this is a great guide for finding the best aviation events and attractions throughout the world.

The idea for this book was excellent and the research was good. Unfortunately, the production was poor. More on this at the end.
Much like mail order catalogs in the 1800s, this is a wish book. I doubt if any single person, even Mr. Purner, has been to all of the events listed in this book. I have been to more than a few and because of this book, I have learned of some more that I hope to visit.
The author describes each event with some good reading material then presents the relevent data. While the details of phone numbers and even dates change, it is incumbent upon travelers to check such things before heading out. It is preflight planning.
The bad news is that the publisher produced a not very readable book. The text is too small and not just for us old readers. Making the text even more painful to read are the way too narrow margins. To make all of of this much worse, there is plenty of available space that would have sucked up the space needed for larger type and wider margins. As it is this is a good reference and dream book, but not an enjoyable read.
It was hard for me to rate this book because of these production problems, but for me in the final analysis I rate the author and content more than production.
