There was some practical advice in this book.
It is worth reading, particularly if you are new to the patent process.
After reading the reviews, I'm going to give it a go. I havent decided on paperback or electronic. It seems to cover the info I need at this point. I'm actually glad to see that it has the "how to do it" info and not filled with a bunch of "you can do it" info. There are plenty of other resources for overcoming fear. This is a book on how, not a motivational self help book. Glad to know that much. Ill update after I read the book.
Everyone comes up with great ideas and at some point wonders how they can make millions off that idea. In this book author Janessa Castle sheds light into how to go about making money off "the next big thing."

Castle provides a thorough breakdown of the process to start with an idea, craft a prototype and work it all the way through to selling and marketing the invention. The problem is that the process, including all the patents, is very complicated. While Castle gives a great description, she didn't succeed in making the process seem any less daunting. It's definitely intimidating to see all the work and money that goes into crafting your invention. Some people could be deterred especially since there are no guarantees of success. This is where Castle failed with this book. I understand that you want to be realistic with the readers and show that it isn't as simple as one might think, but the book was lacking in encouraging them to break past the fear.

Readers will certainly get a better understanding of the process that goes into turning their idea into a product but there needs to be a bit more encouragement for them in the book.
