No exercise! My blood pressure, weight and cholesterol went down. I lost 5 kg in 2 weeks. Now lost 18 kg in 3 months. So easy. Fabulous book, easy to understand. The benefits are there so quickly when following the ideas by John Ratcliffe. Highly recommended.

I found this book really easy to read and it seemed to make sense. So I gave the diet a try (recommended by a friend) and whilst eating some of the food I just couldn't believe I would lose weight. But it was amazing, the kilos just dropped off me. I was so impressed I bought the book for my Mum & my sister who also lost a lot of weight. Just a simple solution of not combining carbs/sugars with protein & voila - 8kgs lighter with no pain!

HOLY MOLY! This was such an easy read... and totally black and white. you DO this and you DON'T do that!! How much simpler could it be! I only wish it didn't take me 31 years to find this! I have lost 60lbs in just over 5 months. I have done minimal excercise and have only followed the recomendations in this book. I have tried Atkins, and south beach, weight watchers and jenny craig.... This seems to be my favorite! I know what I can and can not eat and I just know that i can only eat them in certain combinations. This throughly explains how our body works and you don't have to be a doctor to understand it!! EVERYONE NEEDING TO CORRECT WEIGHT, BLOOD PRESSURE, CHOLESTEROL, DIABETES ANYTHING should start here!!
This book is well written, very easy to read and the logic behind it makes sense. It prescribes eating good carbs, avoiding bad carbs, separating protein & carbs in a meal, and waiting a certain period of time before switching from a protein meal to a carb meal & vice versa.

Once you get the knack of all that, it's easy to do and I found it removed my sugar swings/low blood sugar episodes altogether. However you do need to stick to the plan religiously to lose weight from it.
