In the fourth volume of Flowers of Evil, Takao makes his decision... He will try to win the affection of one his muses. This will be no simple task, as the teens in this manga drama are all now damaged and warped. Growing up without a mother has twisted their hearts. Helping people like that open up may be impossible, but Takao has thrown away his own humanity as well. Furthermore, Takao is now in search now a utopia. One that can only be shared with his best and only friend, that will sit, even if briefly, among the rice paddies and in the mountains of his rural hometown. And most importantly, it will be a place that pokes fun and underminds every little thin ideal that holds this town together. There is no way this new society will be accepted, but that is exactly what these two wanted in the first place.

This is one of my favorite books ever. It contains a sick twisted evil side and a beautiful, peaceful side. I cant explain why but I love both sides (Evil and Good)
This is one of the books that shows the beauty in good and bad.

This manga series "Aku no Hana" by Shūzō Oshimi could start its own genre with just how unique it is. It stands out. If you like dark/disturbing/psychological series, I would recommend giving this a try. Vertical does an exceptional translation and includes integration of English sound effects into the scenery, it is seamless.

I love The Flowers Of Evil, but this volume was a little slow. Still doesn't matter what so ever it still is a continuation of one of my favorite series and The Flowers Of Evil kind of have that patter where 1 volume is amazing and the next kind of builds up.
