My 12-year-old grandson is a huge fan of Peanuts. I had a few of the old and yellowed Peanuts paperback books, the small black and white ones, in the toy box at my house. He discovered those and just loved to read them over and over again. I was surprised that he was interested in them, considering the small print and lack of color.

When I saw these big, colorful comic strip books in a bookstore, I just knew he would love them. The books are large, the paper is heavy and durable, and the pictures are bright and cheery. I found them 25% cheaper here on Amazon and ordered two different ones. He just opened them today (Christmas day) and was thrilled with them. These books are wonderful for kids or for anyone who loves these timeless characters created by Charles Schulz.
I was a little apprehensive about downloading this with the experience I have had with downloading comic strips and they are totally unreadable on Kindle. This however has a great feature. When a new page begins, in the lower right corner is a box. When you tap it, each panel of the strip comes up separately. Wow! A whole book of Peanuts for free. Let's hope more come up for free.
One of my favorites! All these simple and colorful little squares with fun interactions have me cracking with understanding the more I read them.
Schulz is such a profound philosopher and has such knowledge of the human condition, starting as young as these characters. Wholesome humor and innocence revisited.
So cool! I got this for my mom who loves Peanuts. It's great for a collector or anyone who loves old comic strips.
I had stopped reading peanuts regularly by the time these strips were published in 1999, and I was happy to see that they were quite good, sometimes laugh out loud funny. It brought back great memories, and I can't wait to share them with my 10 year old daughter.
While I personally thought Snoopy was funnier when he actually acted like a dog, Peanuts is a classic that never goes out of style. It's 160 pages of color strips so it took a while to download to my KFHD, but it was worth the wait. Peanuts for free--you can't beat that with a stick.
Charles Schulz & Peanuts will always be a big part of my life. I remember when I was very little I would just call the strip, TV specials, etc. just "Snoopy". Anyone else do that?
A collection of many of the classic Peanuts cartoons from years gone by, timeless and as relevant as they were when they first showed up in your newspaper.
