This is simplistic, but reasonably accurate, explanation of the physical laws of nature. It wold be good for a young student interested in physics. There is a bit of humor to lighten up the subjects at hand.

These are the books stay up with, carry everywhere, quote all day long. My 8 year old boy has literally carried this series with him everywhere for the last year, and quotes them constantly. I think he's learned more science from them than any schoolwork he's ever done, and they're fun and FUNNY!
Fantastic gift for the 7-11 year olds in your life!

I purchased the book for my son. He is 7 and loves science. The
way it is written, it keeps his interest, keeps him laughing, and teaches him all at the same time. I believe since the book is funny to children they will retain the information better and
apply it to science class at school. Sooner or later they'll say, "Hey, I read about that in "Fatal Forces" and will be ahead of the game.

My 11 year old son loves all of the "Horrible Science" series, and has read them multiple times. We just discovered that there is a companion series called "Horrible Histories" by a different author, but in the same style. I hope they will equal the educational and entertainment value of the science books.
