Excellent resource for the History of US series by Joy Hakim - original source documents, etc. This is part of our homeschool history curriculum, and we find it to be well-written and researched, accurate, and fun to read. Highly recommend it.

The entire series is very good, but I particularly recommend this final volume. It's an excellent compilation of original documents of American history. With the new emphasis in history classes on reading and interpreting original records, this is an excellent sourcebook.
Sirara
Historical documents are presented with student friendly language explanation and background explaining the background and impact of document. Really useful.

It's nice to have historically important speeches and documents all in one place for additional study in addition to the History of the US series by Joy Hakim.

These books will have all ages learning or reviewing history with fascination as if reading a good novel. Joy Hakim informs with a humorous, plain-spoken manner that will keep you glued to the pages. My kids and I are enchanted by Hakim's flowing presentation and always read more of her information than we need for the sake of homework.

Good book if you are in to history.
I bought this entire series, thinking it would be more of a help for my youngest niece & nephew, than the dry school text books. I've enjoyed them so much myself, that my niece & mephew have to come to my house to read them, as I'm loath to give them up!!
