My 2 year old loves looking at this Bible and frankly, so does everyone who's seen it! My only complant is that my used copy arrived with the first one and 1/2 stories misssing. The stories are well told and the pictures are absolutely gorgeous. I honestly don't think I've ever seen illustration that find a balance between realism and dramatic emotional expression. Very glad I made this purchase. The pages are nice and sturdy too!

I bought this at a Christian bookstore because of the humorous and engaging illustrations by Russ Flint. The text, by Sattgast, is equally well-written and reads like a bedtime story, so my children have always enjoyed listening to it. As my son got older, I used it as an early reader book. Now my son is reading it to my 5-year-old. I have received other children's Bibles as gifts: the illustrations are usually wooden and characterless and the text is either boring or difficult for my youngster to understand. This Bible beats all others hands down and my children's attention and enjoyment of it is proof!

A smaller sized version of the old and New Testament individual books combined into one book. The illustrations are the best I've ever seen. Very detailed and colorful and the facial expressions bring the Bible stories to life. I used this book to help my kids learn their Bible stories when they were in their Christian elementary school. I bought it again to save for the day we have grandchildren.

I have always appreciated Linda J. Sattgast's work. However, it is apparent that the illustrator does not appear to have been familiar with the bible. Also, many illustrations are depicted from the protagonists viewpoint. I WON'T be reading this to my child because of it. Illustrations are so powerful in literary work for children. This, I find to be inaccurate, at best.

This bible is a great bible for kids.Trust me ,and buy this book.
