A Carrot for Iznogoud book. Iznogoud is Grand Vizier in Baghdad . This Arabian Nights comedy was a creation of Rene Goscinny, also responsible for Asterix, Lucky Luke and the Petit Nicolas books. The basic premise is that the Vizier Iznogoud works for a rather bored and lazy Caliph, and is constantly plotting the Caliph's overthrow. This never quite works, but the plots are pretty spectacular. There is only the occasional bit of magic, usually for humorous intent, but it is still a fantasy, with the occasion wizard, djinn and so on.
