I bought this charming tale as a gift for a student who had broken her arm right before summer vacation. I had read the book before, enjoyed it very much, and wished to share it. Please note- this book is not the same as the movie of the same name. The story is quite different, but I will say no more so I won't spoil the ending. A sweet story.
I hate giving a 3 star as I love Alice Hoffman but this was just too short. So many interesting doors were opened and then it ended....
A very nice coming of age story of two girls, who are best friends, when one finds out that she is moving!
great book but I like the movie way better and that not like me to like the movie way better than the book. I normal love both the same but not this one I love the movie way better than the book

I love everything Alice Hoffman writes! This is very short--almost a short story--but an excellent read.
The book arrived in a great condition
Great Story.
I loved the movie that this book was based off of. When I discovered the book, I just had to get it to expand the library for my middle school students.
