I checked eight kid's yoga books out from the library and this one was by far our four year old daughter's favorite. She uses it on her own over and over again and even told me "This one is the best Mummy." She does yoga with me all the time, but this book has really led her to explore doing poses on her own and has led to a new level of curiosity in her about yoga, it is so fun to watch! She loves to pull this book out, roll out a mat and do yoga on her own! It is a simple book with illustrations, fun pose names, and lots of photos of kids doing yoga - it seems to really connect with young children.
Toddlers love this
My children (ages 1 & 3) loved this book so much, I shared it with their classes at school. The teachers have said that they love this book and so does the rest of the class. So I have bought 3 of these books so far. Such a fun & useful book. It is a great introduction to yoga poses for children.
I agree with everyone else, kids LOVE this book! I am a Kids Yoga teacher and checked this out from our library. My 3.5 yr old loved to look through this and ask questions about the poses, and also try them out. Out of all the kids yoga books i have, this was his favorite (the other books I have are still good, but geared for older kids). The pictures are clear and simple and perfect for toddlers. Great beginning yoga book for little ones.
I read the review by School Library Journal and I disagree. It sounds like the person/group is very knowledgeable about book writing. However, it doesn't sound like they had the opportunity to see how well loved the book is by children! The book was written FOR children and the kids love it! Teachers are even using it in class rooms with great success (both in the traditional classroom and with special needs children). Kids whose parents have bought the book are reading it OVER AND OVER again. I think that speaks louder than any "official" critic. I teach fitness to children of all ages and the book is a wonderful tool for children to learn. Children love to do things all by themselves and this book allows them that gift. My own two children learned all the poses by themselves from YogaBear and love to show friends and family

I found this book at my local library and after checking it out again and again, I finally had to buy it. My three-year-old pulls out her yoga mat and this book daily. She knows the names of the poses and how to do them. Other books might go more in depth, but this is perfect for the preschool set.
I bought this book for my 3 year old after repeatedly checking it out from our library. It is a simple and colorful book w/ easy pictures to follow. My daughter loves it and understands how to do the positions from just looking at the pictures. I highly recommend it!
My son loved going to yoga class, but wouldn't do it at home. Now that we have this book he has fun with yoga at home! He likes for us to take turns with each of the poses. It's great to relax before bedtime or get going in the morning!
