Tremendous treasure can be yours if you can overcome the obstacles laid by the late, great Baron Von Maze. Many centuries ago, the Baron hid a wealth of valuables in his castle and protected it with traps and barriers. Knowing that someday a worthy individual would come along to claim the treasure, he recorded his secrets in a journal. Finding this important document is the first step on your treasure hunt. Once you find it, your adventure continues with 26 other formidable mazes, all in spectacular full color. Weapons, boulders, vicious alligators, rats, deadly trapdoors, and broken floors are just some of the things you'll need to get past to succeed. Illustrated with intricate detail, these carefully constructed mazes, many of which require the solution of additional puzzles or clues, will challenge even veteran adventurers. For those who want to be sure to claim the treasure, solutions are included.

Perfect for any child who likes to solve puzzles. Simple to more complex, this challenging book is great for a rainy, quiet, sick, car trip kinda day. Very colorful and imaginative pictures/places. I love the illustrations in this book so much I don't want to solve the mazes. All the skeleton pics are super cool !!! I bought a second copy to give to my 8 yr. old grandson. As I suspected he loves it as well.
This is a really neat maze book that will keep the interest of anyone. I like that it builds on each page with a story. Definitley use tracing paper so that it can be done over again by others. My son didn't listen and now the mazes are completed with a black sharpie on every page and no way for someone else to use the book. It's a fun book to buy.
This book was very engaging and kept my 9 year old busy for a good part of the day. She loved how challenging the mazes were and the theme that ran throughout the book. It keeps you turning the pages on and on.
When I was tutoring, I would use this book with some of my students as a sort of warm up thinking exercise. These are brilliant mazes, not for the faint hearted but not unsolvable. Nothing babyish about it. Each maze is part of a story in the front of the book, in which the maze solver is part. This book was a hit with my students. It offers a fun challenge to readers about age 10 and up. I would recommend copying each maze and working on the copy so if you mess up, you can just make another copy without screwing up the book. My favorite maze book.
