by Edgar Welden / Keith Dunnavant

Did you ever want to runaway? To chase your dreams? Edgar Welden did - he spent an entire year attending sporting events all over the USA. From New Hampshire to Hawaii - Florida to Alaska, Welden attended 250 different sporting events, 35 different kinds of sports, and traveled over 120,000 miles. Welden saw the blockbusters - the World Series, the Superbowl, the Final Four, The Masters, but he also saw the less publicized events - the X Games, the Triathalon, the Iditarod and the Nine ball pool championship. It was a wonderful year and after it was over, Welden realized it was more than just the sports - it was the great characters he met and places he visited along the way. This is a fun and witty book. Welden had fun and the reader will have fun too!

Time Out! is a great read. The perfect book for a quiet evening or an afternoon in the sun. Edgar Welden brings to life not only the places he visited, but all the people he met. When you finish the book you will feel as if you know the author and spent the year exploring sporting events with him. You don't have to be a sports fan to enjoy Time Out! - the whole family will enjoy this book.

This is the best book about the sports world i've ever read. The insights into sport and people in general are great. I'm not sure if this a travel brochure or a book but is sure worth the read.
