About the Tales from Grace Chapel Inn series: Once readers visit the charming village of Acorn Hill, they'll never want to leave. Three sisters -- Louise, a widow from Philadelphia; Alice, an unmarried nurse who lived with her father; and Jane, a divorced chef from San Francisco -- reunite in the sleepy town after their father's death and turn the family home into a charming bed-and-breakfast. Here the sisters rekindle old memories, rediscover their childhood bonds, revel in the blessings of friendship, and meet fascinating guests along the way.

Home for the Holidays, a new Christmas installment in the bestselling Tales from Grace Chapel Inn series (over a million copies sold), takes readers back to Acorn Hill and the characters they've grown to love.

The Christmas spirit is settling over Acorn Hill, and the town is gearing up for a holiday house tour to showcase Acorn Hill's finest homes all decked out in wreathes and bows. But an unpleasant group of tourists is doing anything but making the season bright, and a stranded group of travelers shows up at the inn on Christmas Eve, seeking shelter from the storm and throwing off the sisters' plans for a quiet Christmas together. Through it all, the Howard sisters show their special blend of hospitality with their guests, who discover the importance of family and friendship -- and the true meaning of Christmas.

This was such a wonderful story of love, giving and serving ... just what you would expect from this beautiful series.

Not only does it contain detailed descriptions of Christmas houses decorated in a very special way to reflect the heritage of the house and the owners personal traditions, but the story focuses on five people the sisters have decided to "rescue" from their snowed in situation and have them share their Christmas with them aimed the inn.

The sisters had been looking forward to having this time just to themselves ... but Gods love touched their hearts and they made the decision to make it a totally special time for everyone ... and that they did.

It is a story of love, caring, healed memories and changed lives.

I loved this book ... it is one I will want to re-read every year. I highly recommend it.

A great book to read at any time but especially during the Christmas season, as I did. It is another in the Grace Chapel Inn series about 3 sisters who, upon the death of their father, turn their Victorian family home into a B&B. Each book in the series shows how the sisters interact with each other, with other townspeople and with the guests at the inn. In this one, the sisters decide to close the inn so they can just enjoy the Christmas season with each other. That is not how it turns out, though, as a small group of people on an historic home tour is stranded in Acorn Hill. To see how the sisters step up to help, albeit somewhat grudgingly, is a lesson to us all.
I love the Grace Chapel Inn stories. I love family, and especially the bond between sisters. Christmas is a special time of year because of the celebration of Christ's birth and family. Thank you for keeping Christ in all the Grace Chapel Inn books.
I love all the grace chapel inn books. I have them all in hardback and several on my kindle. I wish they would write some more of them.
We read this for my book club and while it was your typical light, sweet read - it really held a wonderfully strong message within to make for a good discussion. While the characters are not ones you will remember - the storyline is.

I found it fascinating that this is a series of books that are all written by different authors. A good read if you are looking for a book that will make you remember what Christmas is truly about and being always alert to the people God puts in our paths.... because it is always for a reason.

Loved this book. The three sisters of Acorn Hill are such characters. I cry and laugh and moved to pieces. Wonderfully engaging book.
In the world we live in, one gets more information about evil than about love. This book is a well written essay on how love works. The emphasis is on human relationships and how these relationships work to achieve a better good. The phrasing and colorful descriptions of the characters is wonderful - you actually feel an empathy with these folks after reading the book. There should be more of these kinds of reading - it might make a difference in your day - and, because your day is better, someone else might have a better day also.
In enjoyed reading this book over Christmas time. However, I like all the books in this series and like to read them for relaxation. It is neat to see what the characters will do next and how they react. Also, there are many good ideas for decorating and cooking that are part of the book. It brings the nostalgic part of Christmas into your thoughts as you prepare for a busy time of year.
