by Craig Parshall,Tim LaHaye

The End Series by New York Times bestselling author Tim LaHaye and Craig Parshall is an epic thrill ride ripped from today’s headlines and filtered through Scriptural prophecy. As world events begin setting the stage for the “end of days” foretold in Revelation, Joshua Jordan must weigh the personal price he must pay to save the nation he loves. Thunder of Heaven appeals to the tens of millions of readers who have already made Tim LaHaye a household name and one of the best selling authors of all time. This book is a return to form for Tim LaHaye whose previous prophetic fiction series, Left Behind, has sold roughly 70 million copies. Those who have read Left Behind and are eager for more highly charged fiction based on biblical prophesies will embrace Thunder of Heaven for the same reasons that turned Left Behind into the world’s most celebrated publishing phenomenons of the last two decades.

Boring! Too many technical references. Names too hard to pronounce making recall of the character difficult. Too drawn out. Characters too similar to Left Behind. Think maybe the co-author thought paring up with Tim LaHey would help make this a best seller. NOT! I bought the series on the brief info from Bookbub. Once I start a book it is so hard for me to not read it thru to the end. I muddled my way thru book one in hopes book two would get better. NOT. :-( Usually I can read one book in one week (I'm retired and disabled so reading and tv are mostly my world), but it has taken me like two months to get into the second book..

Normally I love to read books by Tim LaHaye but this entire series was such a let down! They never "grabbed" me and forced me to read until I fell asleep. The constant talk about how rich the Jordan family is was way over the top. Also there are entirely too many characters to keep up with. I found myself reading and wonder who this person was. There were some good ideas on how the mark of the beast would come about but overall it was a waste of my time and money. I usually keep all my books and re-read them but these are going to be sold!

I finished the first book of this series and was thrilled with it. Any book that
Tim LaHaye writes himself or co-authors is wonderful to read.
I have all of The End Series he and Jerry B Jenkins wrote together and it's
on series I will not part with!
As I get into reading this series he wrote with Craig Parshall I am so very glad I made
the decision to start collecting this series as well!
Thunder of Heaven is worth every minute to read also! I would love to read
every book in one day as I used to do several years ago but unfortunately
I am no longer able to do so.
I can't wait to finish this one and start on the 3rd book!

I guess I'm unfairly comparing this series to the Left Behind series, and it is not nearly as good as that series was. I didn't care for the first book in The End series but decided to give it another try since the 2nd book was offered for .99. This book was a little better than the first but not good enough to pay more money for the next book. I just could not get into these books.

This series is more of a page Turner than "Left Behind" and so much more suspenseful and exciting. There are so many things going on and people you cheer for and those you don't. I'm ready for the next installment!

I'm so disappointed to know I just read book two. Now I'm going to go backwards to see how the author started the story. AND also get BOOK 3 . Being a believer in God's word the Bible, this book really caught my interest, although I believe the time line is slightly different. But BOOK one could explain the difference. Great book. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Believe in it's message.

After reading the first book in this series I was eager to start the second and it did not disappoint. The story flows well and the action is non-stop. The war between good and evil, seen from both sides covered by the message of redemption. There is no "homesickness", just a great story and a greater message. I highly recommend this series.
Loved this audio book! Wanted to get back into the car and drive somewhere just to hear what was going to happen next. So up-to-date with what's going on in this world and what the Bible foretells.
