This is one of my 'go to' books that I use like a devotional. God is so great to be able to turn us to Scripture and to resources such as this to uplift us, turn our eyes heavenward and look to the One who empowers us to love one another. Servanthood is a gift of God, not something that comes 'naturally.' Because the heart deceives and the flesh pulls, and because the enemy rages, a daily dose of hearing the heart of God on how I am to interact with others is enriching--always, necessary--always, and God-breathed--always! There have been times when I have been discouraged that I have opened this book and turned to the exact page that addresses my source of discouragement and gets me back on track. Cannot recommend enough!
A+++. The item came as promised.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus is The ONLY WAY. No other name under heaven you can be saved. Accept HIM today. Amen.

I am an elder in our church that has struggled with problems dealing with members that always seem to have the answers or uncalled for comments when I do something in serving our church in worship service. I was searching for some answers and I came across this book and I just read it cover to cover. This is a number 1 read for ministers, lay clergy to read. It will give you solid guidance, answers to your questions about why things happen and guide you to everlasting service in your church in God's name. I highly recommend this book. It is easy reading.
An Excellent Experiential Theology of Servant hood by Dr. Warren W. Wiersbe

Here are three nuggets of enlightenment:

"Ministry takes place when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God "

God doesn't want us to have "ministry by imitation". He wants "ministry by incarnation" what Paul wrote about in Philippians 2:13 "For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure".

"To consider persons and events and situations only in the light of their effect upon myself is to live on the doorstep of hell"
Warren Weirsbe's books are so insightful into. Christian values, practices, and the things. Of God. I especially appreciate how they flow logically and are easy to read. I am in fulltime leadership in a ministry to children. This book was inspirational and also provided guidance in some areas I need to improve. Well balanced. Recommend his book On Being A Leader of God also.
I wish that I had read this book years ago. As a pastor, there are certain battles that we all face but are mostly unknown to those who either have never been in the ministry or are just starting. Wiersbe's clear and insightful instruction will challenge, comfort and guide you as you read it. I suppose that I could have read it in one sitting, but I found myself going back to reread several chapters numerous times, only to find new gems of wisdom that I had missed in previous readings.

As a pastor who frequently ministers to other pastors, I would recommend this book as almost required reading for ministers.
This book is the most inspirational book on servant hood that I have ever read. It explains so clearly what is expected of us as a servant of God, and let's us know when we are on the right track. It moved me in a way that no other book, other than the Bible has done. If God calls us, God will equip us. Those are powerful words. It reminds us to put our trust completely in God and that He will always know the best road for us to travel.
Love love love love this book! The Lord worked a lot on my heart. I've underlined so many things! Chapters are super short and easy reads for a chapter a day routine. Insightful and to the point with each subject and chapter. Definitely going to be reading this once a year or once every other year for sure!
